Why did you decide to take up the cello? I wanted to start playing in the school orchestra. I originally wanted to play viola, but my dad convinced me to play cello by showing me lots of cool cello videos. No regrets.
Why did you decide to start cello lessons? So I could be more prepared for school orchestra
How long have you been taking cello lessons with Christina G.? Just over a year.
Do you play any other instruments? Yes! Piano.
How often do you practice? I would LIKE to practice five times a week, but in all honesty, it’s more like three times a week.
What is one of your favorite pieces you have learned so far? Bouree by Handel
What advice do you have for other musicians studying your instrument? Take private lessons, it makes it more fun.
What do you enjoy about lessons? Taking things slowly and piece by piece, then putting it all together and making something that seemed super complicated into something that I can play.
What do you like about Dynamic Music Studios? I like when my teacher brings in her dog Ginger!
What goals do you have for lessons? Get through as many Suzuki books as I can.
What is your favorite musical/orchestral work/piano piece/artist? The third piece I played on piano for IMTA this year called “Brumes” and “Le Papillons a la lumiere de Soleil” for piano by Jennifer Linn.
What are some other activities in which you participate? Swimming, lifting, and piano.
