Our Community Contributions
Since opening our studio in Coralville three years ago, we have collaborated with several local institutions to support their missions. Here’s a look at our community contributions:
North Liberty Community Food Pantry
For the past two years, during our annual studio recital in October, we have collected canned food and non-perishable items for the North Liberty Community Food Pantry. This initiative helps provide essential supplies to families during the busy holiday season. Additionally, in December 2023, we hosted an open house and coat drive, collecting over 52 winter coats for those in need during the harsh winter.
United Action for Youth
In the spring of 2023, our annual practice-a-thon raised over $500 for United Action for Youth, supporting at-risk youth in our area. As part of this event, we also invited local artist Hailey Seaba to paint a beautiful rainbow mural in our studio. This mural symbolizes our mission of love and acceptance for everyone. Safe Haven of Iowa County
During our 2024 practice-a-thon, we partnered with Safe Haven of Iowa County, raising over $800 for this animal shelter. The event culminated in a recital where our students performed for the animals, patrons, and volunteers of the shelter. It was definitely the cutest recital we have ever performed!
Owners in the Community
Our owners are also deeply involved in the community. You can often find them volunteering at local shows. This past February, Dr. Jessica Saunders and Christina Gentzsch collaborated with the City Circle Theater Company in their production of "Sondheim On Sondheim."
