  FAQ       

  • What instruments do you teach?
    We offer one on one lessons in piano, voice, violin, viola, and cello. Group classes will be available in voice and piano this summer. Our Forte Cooperative teachers also offer lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, woodwinds, flute, and drums.
  • Are lessons in person or virtual?
    Due to the pandemic, we are currently only offering virtual lessons. However, we have many students we have never met in person and we still have amazing connections with our students. While virtual lessons require creative teaching methodologies, all of our faculty have found ways to deliver the same excellent instruction you would receive in person.
  • What ages do you teach?
    Voice Lessons are available for students ages 6 and above in either a group setting or one on one lessons. Pianos lessons are available for students 5 and above in individual lessons and group lessons. Violin/Viola lessons are available for students 6 and above on an individual basis. Cello lessons are available for students 5 and above on an individual basis.
  • Are there recitals or performances?
    Yes, you will be provided several opportunities a year to participate in recitals, coffeehouses, and community performances. If you are in a group class, many of these classes offer a chance to perform for each other in class.
  • Do I have to participate in recitals or performances?
    Participating in recitals is highly encouraged. Performances are a great confidence builder. They are an opportunity for you to show your improvement and progress. It is a chance for you to showcase the new skills you have learned. It provides the opportunity to listen to and encourage your peers.
